Day 6 Ginger Cabin, North Beach, Graham Island, QCI

Slept in, but did manage to get out of the house by 10:30. Went to Tow Hill, about a 1/2 hour climb that gives you a great view of the North beach, both ways. You can see all the way to Rose Spit (the northwest point of Graham Island).

Also saw some blowholes in the rocks, by the coast. Waded across an orange river (iron?) to get to a great beach that went on forever, well at least as far as Rose Spit.

You can drive cars on this beach. There were a fair number of people, at least 10-12 cars on the beach. More than I thought we'd see.

We got a start up the 'Cape Fife Trail' but decided not to finish. It's a 10km hike to the East coast beach.

Decided instead on the White Creek Trail, on old ATV trail. Got up into some muskeg.

Agate Beach Campgound is right on the beach, pretty wild, and sites are close together.

It was interesting to find muskeg up in the higher parts.
