What we did and saw:
A nice revisit of Buffalo Pound after a 25-year absence. (I stopped here on my initial drive out to the West Coast). Not quite as I remembered it, but a beautiful place.
Arrived a 7pm (we thought it was 6pm because we missed a time-zone change) and got the last site. Warm, but not hot, no bugs, nice wind, free firewood. Had a swim in Buffalo Pound lake, a swelling of the Qu'Appelle River. Very nice. Warm and windy.
Animals we saw
Deer : Woke up in Dinasaur Prov Park and the first thing we saw when we looked out of the tent was deer on the trail leading down into the campground. There was a mother and a baby. They were probably white-tailed deer.
